A Chilly Project

Why?

As a school project meant to invest in ourselves, I decided on taking a project that would expand my capabilities as a young musician and add to the potential number of incomes I can create for myself. All while helping me get a different familiarity on my instrument. Arranging for the guitar. I landed on this project after helping out a fellow wildcat by arranging the accompaniment piano part from Maria Grever's Alma Mia for the guitar and realizing how much I enjoyed doing so.

Apart from wanting to see myself use this new familiarity in the future to create pieces that were meant for the classical guitar, I also arrived on arranging as a teacher. As a private instructor, I find myself arranging songs and composing solos for my students to learn so I care for developing and growing some of the skills I already use. I do that in this project by challenging myself in translating the pieces I've chosen all by ear.
