Going into week two, I was thinking about ways I can get rid of any wasted effort. One of the first things I did was go from dictating the RH part of "Rideaux Lunaries" onto a master score with a piano and started writing out the RH into a playable guitar part while trying out ideas as I wrote them out.
I was first transcribing the RH with the help of my piano to help me get the exact pitches that were being played, but seeing as I was going to have to adapt the part anyway, I went ahead and just combined the process. This also meant going back and adapting what I had already worked on from the week prior.
While working on old material, I also went ahead and tried looking for and correcting any mistakes I overlooked. After doing so, I pushed forward while seeing how to use my time more effectively. Instead of allowing myself to get stuck on something, I would allow myself to skip a section in order to cover more material and hopefully meet more of my goals as I progress. Having done so, I was able to finish a lot more this week while giving myself a better idea of what sections were going to need more attention and strategy.
Finding myself in a better position than I was last week, I was circling in on a new timeline for my project. Realizing It was going to be difficult to finish six entire different pieces, I decided to cut my objective in half after continuing to listen to my list of potential pieces and factoring in what would work or not. Making me land on "Armellodie," from Solo Piano I. Without taking my focus away from "Rideaux Lunaries," I made sure to figure out a few of the components of the piece to make it easier for myself when starting this tune in the future and save myself some time.
