Week 8

Me but in HD

Final Process & Reflection

After coming back to Phoenix one last and final time to talk about my project as a wrap up the last week from my 8-week journey. I have to say, it's been fun. It's been amazing finally tackling a small dream of mine of creating an arrangements on the guitar .

As I mention in the video, I don't want to call my project "done." I still think I can continue to work on these arrangements until I find myself happy with all the decisions I made in arriving towards a finished product.

With all the struggles I've faced, I find myself wanting to shift the direction of my approach for the second time I decide to re-open this project. I went in wanting to create arrangements for different types of guitar orientation. Guitar solo, duo and maybe even trio. I found myself stuck on "Armellodie," from Solo Album I, by trying hard to create a solo arrangement and I nearly almost didn't finish producing a complete arrangement by the end of it, missing my window for recording week. As it stands, it wasn't the end of the world as I was able to create one finished product for Rideaux Lunaries. Making me think how it could be a better idea for continuing to create piano arrangements with a guitar duo in mind at the very least.

While I am still a long way from creating a book and producing profit from these arrangements, I plan to share these arrangements with my students to help get perspective on what works for certain students at their playing level. Just as I would have to go back to edit a solo or arrangement I've made for my students of a song they're working on, I look forward to working with my students in using my arrangements as something to present for our next studio recital!

Thanks to anyone and everyone tuning in to my first project shared through my website. Special thanks to my best friend Rogelio Orquiz who helped me with recording and editing the final product of my project.
